Clash of the Titans

I saw the 1981 version of Clash of the Titans, and thought it was cheesy then, but little did I know that an updated version would be even more so. I think Sam Worthington is someone to watch, but he chose the wrong movie to do after Avatar. The FX is fine, but not great, and the 3-D is pretty poor. The reason that Avatar was so popular was because the 3-D was like nothing we'd seen before. In the 2010 version of Clash of the Titans, the 3-D was completely unnecessary. There is only one part where the 3-D looks cool; when Perseus goes after Medusa and falls into a deep pit of fire. Other than that, I wasted an extra $3. I didn't hate Clash of the Titans, but I chuckled more than I should have. If I wasn't with my son, I wouldn't have had much patience with it at all.
