Normally I don't think these kind of movies are very funny. They try so hard to be outlandish and shocking, that it seems strained. That's why I go to movies for 17 year old boys with my 22 year old son. I have a different perspective, uh tolerance, when I go with him. Get Him to the Greek had gotten pretty decent reviews, so we decided to give it a shot. Well, I did laugh, but I thought it was a lot more over the top than The Hangover and not as clever. The Hangover seemed like a plot that could actually happen, well, except the tiger and the baby and the small naked man. But it still seemed more real. Jonah Hill is Aaron, a record company employee, who is sent to England to make sure singer, alcoholic, drug-user Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) makes it to a concert at the Greek on time. Of course, many diversions keep the pair on the road together. It has a bit of sweetness, but most of it is raunchy with a capital "R".
